It’s hard being away from my home:Luke Lewis “

IT’S always hard watching the boys play when I can’t be there. Even though I’m unavailable because of something amazing like representing NSW it’s still hard seeing my Panther teammates run out without me.

It was a tough ask, too, for the boys to take on the Warriors in any conditions but the rain made it even harder.

They’re a massive team and in the end they rolled over us.

We put up a good fight and went into half-time with the lead but in the second half we just lost the field-position battle and ended up with the loss.

There were some amazing moments though, with another great performance by young Josh Mansour breaking six tackles and streaking down the field with a cracker of a try.

If there’s an award for the number of tackle busts in one season, he’s got to be a shoe-in already.

It’s been a really special experience being in camp with my Panther teammates Michael Jennings and Tim Grant.

We’re like brothers and donning the sky blue alongside each other has only strengthened that.

We take on the Titans on Sunday.

No doubt we Origin boys will be a bit sore but we’ll be raring to go once back into training with the rest of the squad later this week and looking forward to heading to the Gold Coast.

After the bye it’s onto the next Battle of the West clash against the Eels in the Women in League round.

Keep your eyes peeled in the next week for some exciting announcements about the events planned for the traditional “pink” round at Centrebet.
