The girls, aged 10 and 11, were walking along Endeavour Avenue at about 8.30am.

They noticed a man following them and tried to run away.

The man then yelled at the girls and followed them on to Banks Drive.

He stopped after they reached a pedestrian crossing.

Police were called and searched the area but found no trace of the man.

However, they were told he was seen around the same places yesterday.

The man was described as being of Asian appearance, in his early 20s, of thin build, 160 to 165cm tall and with short dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a grey hooded-jumper, blue-black track pants, orange and black Nike brand runners and using an iPod.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact St Marys police on 9677 7501 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
