The children at Cranebrook’s Busy Bee Child Care Centre do, thanks to a visit by Brett Peters, of Reptiles Up Close! last week. The children met Whippersnapper the saltwater crocodile, Jack the green tree frog, Miss Roundbottom the shingleback lizard and Prickle the bearded dragon as well as one very large but friendly python.

Isabella Adams, 4, certainly had plenty to say. “If you want a crocodile to open his mouth, you open yours and he copies you,” she said. “And Mrs Roundbottom’s head is the same as her bottom which is very funny.”

Here is Elise, 3, with Prickle, the bearded dragon.
