PRESS RELEASE: Jose Sanz, East Ward

My name is Jose Sanz, my friends call me Ho. I was educated locally at Penrith High School where my education was first class. During school I was heavily involved with the Air Force cadets which taught me about duty and leadership. I worked for many years at the local institution, Panthers Leagues Club. I am also a 100 game veteran of UWS Hawkesbury. I believe in Penrith and its people, I feel it is time for me to give back to Penrith after receiving so much from this wonderful city. My way of giving back is to work for the people as your representative on council.
Nanjing Night Net

I want to push for practical solution to everyday problems to raise our standard of living. Problems such as:

 Roads – ensuring our roads are maintained and in good order through a reporting system for everybody to let the council know where needs attention. Also safety concern like the people of Sunflower Dr Claremont meadows want speed bumps to slow motorists down, I think this is a sensible idea and will push for it

 River – I want to ensure the people of Penrith continue to get maximum benefit from the river through supporting conservation initiatives

 Rates – I want to ensure that rates are being spent as effectively as possible and propose a review of how the council spend our money

Along with the problems Penrith faces I want to continue the aspects we as a community are getting right, like supporting small business and excellence in the arts and sports. I feel that ensuring these programs are strong will keep Penrith strong for the future.

As your representative I want to foster a culture of consultation within Penrith, with no issue to small to be discussed. I want to be proactive, finding solutions to issues not just pointing out faults.

I have previously stood for as a candidate in the State election where I showed that I would listen to local issues and provide a solution rather than party spin. It is because of this that I have decided to run as an independent.

If you are tired of the major parties abusing your trust and towing a party line, if you are tired of the major parties showing disrespect for their position and feel like you have been ignored, then there is a real alternative for the people of East Ward Penrith

Give Ho a GO! Vote 1 Jose Sanz
